MIAMI- DECEMBER 3, 2013 – The Billboard Latin Music Conference, the longest-running and most prestigious event in the world dedicated to Latin music, celebrates its 25th anniversary in  2014.  What began as a one-day event featuring five industry panels and two music showcases, has become the most powerful and sought-after event in the Latin music industry worldwide.  Today, the conference draws hundreds of industry executives, top Latin music artists, leading brand marketers, national radio programmers, prominent producers, and many more for four days of provocative presentations and panel discussions, exclusive Q&A’s, compelling case studies, cutting-edge artist showcases, and exclusive networking events.

The conference, which will be held April 21-24, 2014, at the JW Marriott Marquis in Miami, FL, culminates with the Billboard Latin Music Awards, a three-hour multi-million dollar production broadcast live on Telemundo.  The awards show is the only recognition that truly reflects the best in Latin music, as determined by actual sales and radio play.  For more information, please visit: www.BillboardLatinConference.com or follow the event on: Facebook/Billboard and Twitter: @Billboard with the hashtag #BBLATIN.

“For the past 25 years, the Billboard brand has been the leading advocate and the go-to name for Latin artists and the Latin music industry worldwide,” said Leila Cobo, Billboard’s Executive Director for Latin Content and Programming. “The Billboard Latin Music Conference existed before any other conference dedicated to Latin entertainment worldwide and we as a brand are immensely proud to say that today Billboard continues to be the undisputed place to be for any artist, manager, label, promoter or brand that is serious about the Latin music industry. As we enter our 25th year celebration, we will offer unparalleled content with the very top names in the business.”

Throughout the past 25 years, the conference has garnered the participation of world-renowned music stars such as Enrique Iglesias, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, Paulina Rubio, Chayanne, Daddy Yankee, Juanes, Don Omar, Gerardo Ortiz, Fernando Camacho, Olga Tañon, Chino y Nacho, America Sierra, Roberto Tapia, Camila, Aventura, Maná, Gloria Trevi, the late Jenni Rivera, Pitbull, Gloria Estefan, Jorge Drexler, and Carlos Vives, among many others.  The conference has also enjoyed the support and collaboration of leading national and global brands such as State Farm, AT&T, Western Union, Walmart, Diageo, Wrigley, Heineken, Google, Vevo, Pandora, Facebook, Goya, Spotify, Zumba, Sony, Muve Music, and Deezer, among others.

“State Farm is honored to be a part of the Billboard Latin Music Conference tradition as it celebrates 25 years,” said Tim Van Hoof, Assistant Vice President, Marketing at State Farm.  “This event is a significant pillar in the world of Latin music and we are happy to be able to have been a part of it for the last five years.  We look forward to another exciting event in 2014.”

In 2014, the 25th Billboard Latin Music Conference Presented by State Farm® will also feature “The Marketing Exchange” – a unique and exciting program focused on the latest trends in Latin music marketing.  “The Marketing Exchange” will also host the fourth annual Billboard Latin Music Marketing Awards, recognizing the integration of music and marketing by honoring agencies and labels that had successful campaigns during the past year. In addition, attendees will be treated to the 12th annual Billboard BASH, a prelude celebration to the Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm® featuring some of the award finalists.  The BASH will take place on Wednesday, April 23.  The week will culminate with the Billboard Latin Music Awards Presented by State Farm®, produced and broadcast live by Telemundo on Thursday, April 24 at 8PM (7PM Central).  The awards honor the biggest stars based on Billboard’s weekly charts, and features performances by top artists across all genres of Latin music.
