Eva Longoria Set to Direct The CW’s Glamorous
Eva Longoria is set to direct The CW’s Glamorous with Brooke Shields starring in the shows pilot.
The beauty who we know and love as an actress from The Young and the Restless and Desperate Housewives is now spreading her wings as a director. The Mexican-American actress will also be executive producer alongside Damon Wayans Jr and Jordon Nardino, who wrote the series.
Although the show hasn’t got picked up yet Glamorous would be the CW’s newest drama with a gender-nonconforming lead. Brooke Shields will play Madolyn, who is the founder and CEO of a well-known cosmetic company. Also cast in the hour-long drama is Jade Payton as Venetia who is Madolyn’s savvy personal assistant.
You may recognize Shields from hit television shows such as Suddenly Seeking Susan and more recently, Jane the Virgin. Jade Payton on the other hand is known from television series’ such as Good Game and iZombie.
Longoria has made her film directorial debut with 24/7 from Universal with stars Kerry Washington. Other television shows she dabbled in directing with include Black-ish, Jane the Virgin, Telenovela and more. However, Glamorous will mark the first pilot that Longoria will direct.
We can’t wait to see Eva Longoria stepping from in front of the camera and taking lead behind the scenes. Would you want CW to pick up Glamorous so it can be your next TV show to binge-watch? Let us know in the comments below!
