Last week, the Hispanicize 2015 Conference took place from March 16 to March 20th at the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Miami. It was jam packed with seminars, events, celebrity appearances by artists such as TV host Don Francisco, actor Luis Guzman, singer Luis Fonsi, and comedian Erik Rivera, and many brands looking to connect with the Latino market. We enjoyed hand massages from Shea Moisture, snacks and beauty treatments with Vive Mejor, dancing el Cricketeo with Cricket Wireless, and posing for fun photos with Coca-Cola. Needless to say it was an exciting and eventful week.

The seminars were all targeted to educate and inspire media professionals and personalities in the areas of video creation, music, journalism, blogging, marketing and even finance. These hour long seminars were moderated and executed by a panelist of professionals in their fields who carried the respective topics of each workshop, answered questions and connected with the audience. Not only did you leave these seminars with new information and completely inspired, you could score some exclusive goodies and even run into a celebrity panelist like William Levy! In one particular highlight-worthy moment, Mario Kreutzberger shared his career over lunch and received a Latinovator Award.

Actor Luis Guzman answered questions during the Latinovator lunch and an intimate press conference where he answered questions from the media. Latin é asked him about his favorite roles as an actor so far! This is what he had to said:

After a full day of learning and networking, the nights were injected with food, cocktails and even more fun at several events and movie screenings that took place throughout the week. Among these events were a night of comedy and dancing with Target, a yacht party with McDonald’s, and the Tecla and Positive Impact Awards. And, on the final night, Hispanicize went out like a true VIP – with a farewell party at Filmore in South Beach.

If you are in interested or work in media as a Latino, Hispanicize is definitely THE conference for you. And even if you’re not, the location by itself is enough to make the whole week worthwhile…  because, trust me, Miami is always a good idea.
