Latin songs… So much passion… So much emotion! Vivir Sin Aire by Mexican band, Maná, is definitely an example of the deep feelings Latin music embodies. This song is, you guessed it, A love song. It talks about a love that is not present anymore, or maybe an unrequited love, and how he wishes he didn’t still need this person in his life. However, just like a fish needs water, a flower needs soil, and humans need air, he seems to need this love more than anything else in the world. So, he keeps wishing and wishing to erase his love from his mind and heart, comparing the process to living a life without air.

This song was released in 1992 in their Dónde Jugarán los Niños? album. Maná is a Latin Rock band that was formed in 1985 in Guadalajara, Mexico. They’ve won four Grammys, seven Latin Grammys, five MTV Video Music Awards Latin America, fifteen Latin Billboard Awards, and fifteen Lo Nuestro Awards. In 2012, they earned a Rock Walk of Fame Star in Hollywood. They have sold more than 40 million albums around the world, making them one of the best selling Spanish Rock bands ever.

Ready to try and live without air? Hit play and let Maná fill your heart with poetry…
