Roberto Tapia is on fire–and he’s staying hot! The American singer of Mexican ancestry received recognition for being one of the most influential artists of the Regional Mexican genre. Councilmember Jose Huizar was the one who presented the award to Tapia, a week after Tapia had brought together more than 7,000 people, which was the maximum for one of the most important venues in L.A.. Tapia was recognized for the success of his previous album and his last presentation at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena, where he took people traveling through musical history.
While Tapia continues to work his way forward, we’re excited to see where he’s going next.
