Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz set to collaborate with Oscar-winning director and screenwriter Pedro Almodovar for the movie “Pain and Glory.”
Now that the trailer for “Pain and Glory” (“Dolo y Gloria”) has released, the anticipation for the movie has certainly skyrocketed. In the 2013 film, I’m So Excited was the first time the trio have worked together and now we’re so excited for their reunion.
The movie surrounds Salvador Mallo (Banderas) revisiting his past and may reveal how his decisions may have affected his present. Cruz is set to play the mother of Salvador at a young age, however, in present-day his mother is an older woman played by Julieta Serrano.
Upon watching the non-dialogue trailer, it is revealed in one scene that Salvador is undergoing an MRI test which hints that he may be terminally sick, hence why he is revisiting his past throughout the movie.
