U.S. Army celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month with ‘Son Tropical’
WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 12, 2013) – Son Tropical kicks-off the Army’s
Hispanic Heritage Month celebration with a Latin music performance at noon
Sept. 16, in the Pentagon Center Courtyard.
Son Tropical is the U.S. Army Field Band’s ensemble that specializes in
Latin rhythms. Through their music, these Soldiers connect with communities
nationwide in a unique and special way.
Immediately following the performance, the Army musicians will be available
to discuss their profession and their community outreach engagements.
