Jencarlos Canela’s new music video Bajito, performed alongside Jamaican reggae artist, Ky-Mani Marley, one of the heirs to the legendary Bob Marley, is unforgettable. Full of the energy and passion that make Jencarlos irresistible, this song and video explore the singer/songwriter’s more urban side. Bajito mixes reggae with tropical sounds to create an arrangement that has become one of 2015’s biggest summer hits, topping charts in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United States for multiple weeks running.
Shot in Puerto Rico, an island most commonly known as “La Isla del Encanto” or “The Island of enchantment,” the video tells the story of Jencarlos as he arrives to the island, jumps in a taxi and fantasizes about the taxi driver who in turn, is fantasizing about him… the steamy hot scenes unveil Jencarlos’s sexy and sensual side like we’ve never seen them before. The scenes shot on the coast of Piñones capture the playful essence of Bajito in a hot and festive Caribbean atmosphere.
Jencarlos continues his writing process with both English and Spanish songs, working in conjunction with a diverse array of writers and producers who are building and developing a new sound emerging from the singer/songwriter. After taking a look at this video, we’re looking forward to seeing what comes next.
