Join the party, that is The Baltimore Cuban Salsa Party, August 23rd for some serious dancing.
“This magnificent gathering, unlike any other that the DMV has witnessed, will be a reunion of those who love the sounds of Timba, Rumba, Son, Guanguaco, and other Afro-Latin rhythms. In addition to listening to the sounds of Cuba, be prepared to dance the night through to Salsa, Casio/Rueda de Casino, Bachata, real Rumba, and many other styles of dance. You will experience first- hand what has originated from Cuba and, in part, has had a very profound influence on Latin dancing as we know it today.”
If that’s not compelling enough, this year the party will be scaling back and providing guest with a four hour mini workshop with two of the best Afro-Folkloric dance masters in the world: Master Kati Hernandez and Master Duane Wrenn. The workshop promises to make even the most experienced dancers better than ever. There will even be live drummers to keep the beat alive.
DJ Dola Yoruba ON2 (Co-Founder of the Salsa Underground – Washington, D.C.) will be the Master of Ceremony.
Following the workshops, there will be a party like none you’ve ever seen! The night will be run by the two amazing DJs, DJ Walt Diggz and DJ Asho. There will even be some great performances by famous dance crews like Saoco and Ruedame.
