New York Fashion Week has come and gone and now is time to share with you the Latino designers that we got to learn about during this very busy week. From Venezuela to Costa Rica, and from gowns to jewelry, there were plenty Latino talent showcasing during NYFW.
Art Hearts Fashion is a platform for designers and artists to showcase their work in a contemporary fashion week setting. They have events in New York, Miami and Los Angeles. During this past New York Fashion Week they included several Latino Fashion Designers, including Walter Méndez, who we shared the opening of his boutique in Los Angeles with all of you last year. Get to know four of these Latino Designers and their collections for Fall/Winter 2016 right here.
Mexican designer’s, Gregorio Sánchez, collection played between classic silhouettes with more romantic details that included French sequins and lace, leather and Spanish wool. Lots of black and white with pops of red and Scottish prints caught our eye.
Pineda Covalin, a Mexican fashion brand, delighted with a beautiful collection filled with pretty dresses for women and fun pieces for men. There were lots of black with pops of kaleidoscopic prints that dazzled us. We want the entire collection in our closets!
Willfredo Gerardo presented an equally seductive and elegant collection of gowns. The pieces had a lot of mesh, cutouts and nude fabrics that amped the sex appeal. On the other hand, the intricate beading, lace, blacks and golds gave his fall/winter designs a sophisticated touch.
The designer that has dressed celebrities such as Jennifer López and Selena Gómez, Walter Méndez, did not disappoint sharing a collection packed with glamour and detailing. Satin, lace, sequins and the like adorned flirty and seductive gowns down the catwalk in blacks, golds, reds, blues and yellows.
What did you think of the collections? Which one is your favorite? Feel free to share with us on a comment or social media.
