Production of L.A.’s Finest starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba halted
The production of L.A.’s Finest, starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba, has been halted after an accident on set.
It was announced last year that the production will begin for the new television drama, L.A.’s Finest. The 13-episode drama is supposed to be a Bad Boys spinoff, set to star Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba.
Recently, producers and writers Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier endured non-life-threatening but serious injuries after a stunt car crashed in an area they were watching the scene. Both were taken to the hospital. The series was expected to come to Spectrum by May 13th. It is unsure if the production halt has pushed this date back.
Union plays Syd Burnett, the character from Bad Boy II, sister to Martin Lawrence’s Marcus. Special Agent Sydney Burnett who is now an LAPD detective and is also being accompanied by Nancy McKenna who is played by Jessica Alba.
The series will be Charter Communications’ first original, scripted series, set to premiere on Spectrum. Union and Alba star but also, are executive producers for the show as well.
