Those looking to shake their hips need look no further than “No Vuelve,” the first single off of Yunel Cruz’s upcoming album, Divina Voluntad.
Unlike “Ay Amiga,” his last hit from 2010, “No Vuelve” is a return to his dance music roots. Influenced by salsa legends Miles Peña and Frankie Negron, the Dominican’s mix of traditional bachata — a style of social dance in the Dominican Republic — and urban rhythms is certainly evident in his latest single.
When “No Vuelve” comes on over the radio, you can try to stay put, but that doesn’t mean you’ll succeed.
