Peruvian designers who work with alpaca wool will have a chance to show their products to an American audience at this fashion show on November 20th at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel in Washington, D.C.
“Peru Fashion Night,” is being put together by the Peruvian Embassy in the United States, as well as the Peruvian Association of Exporters (ADEX), Biz USA Peru & Americas, and PromPeru.
Special emphasis will be placed on pieces made from alpaca wool from the Cusco región. Clothing made with Peruvian Pima cotton will also be on display.
This event is part of “a joint effort by private enterprise and the Peruvian government in order to support the strategy ‘Include to grow,’ proposed at the United Nations General Assembly by President Ollanta Humala Tasso.” Peru’s Vice President Marisol Espinoza Cruz has been invited to the event.
