Even if you didn’t, I’m pretty sure you got a glimpse of Jennifer Lopez’s showstopper Oscars look somewhere in cyberspace within hours of her setting foot on the red carpet. I mean, she looked amazing, and the internet was raging about her outfit selection.
Obviously, Jennifer is a beautiful woman, and she knows a thing or two about carrying a unique fashion design with confidence and elegance. First, what makes this dress such a stunner is, ironically, the fact that it is nude. The tone is very similar to Jennifer Lopez’s skin tone, and this is key. So, don’t run with a picture of the dress to get the exact color. The perfect color for you is right in front of you… when you’re standing in front of a mirror, of course. The second element that makes the look so magical is the pretty embellishments that adorn the bodice and top half of the skirt. The effect of it falling at different levels on the skirt is what gives this dress it’s ‘wow’ factor. So, make sure your dress has an element that’s eye catching to complement the nude effect.
Granted, we have a magnificent train and some sexy cleavage happening, and those details help this turn this look into something truly spectacular. However, I strongly believe that without those two elements, the dress still would have made any woman feel like royalty.
