This month we are throwing it back to 2010 to Prince Royce’s El Amor que Perdimos. This catchy bachata song from his very first album tells the story of a love that went sour. Geoffrey Royce Rojas a.k.a. Prince Royce, talks about a failed love by betrayal. His adoration and love where met with lies and fights that lasted for years. Even though, in this not so much of a love story nothing seemed to change, they stayed together and had a child that he describes as a the miracle he loves the most. All the years filled with lies made him turn from love and adoration to suffering and not wanting to see this woman again. It’s a love that they both lost.
This album also has hit singles Stand by Me and Corazón Sin Cara. Both of these songs reached number-one on the Billboard Tropical charts while Corazón Sin Cara reached number-one on Hot Latin Songs chart. The album itself reached number-one on the US Billboard Latin Albums and Tropical Albums charts. He also received three awards at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in 2011, which included Tropical Album of the Year for Prince Royce. Prince Royce was also listed as one of the 50 Most Beautiful on People en Español magazine in 2011.
