This week, Sofia Vergara, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, for her incredible work in film and television. The 42-year-old actress was surrounded by family and friends, including two of her Modern Family costars – Julie Bowen and Ed O’Neil – as well as her son, Manolo, and fiancé, Joe Manganiello.
Vergara told the assembled crowd: “It is unbelievable for me to be here today standing with all of you. I don’t have anything to say but thank you. The first thanks I have to give is to ‘Modern Family’ … if they had not invented Gloria Pritchett, I wouldn’t be here. I owe everything that I have been able to do in the American market to this amazing character.”
The Columbian’s star is the 2,551st plaque on Hollywood Boulevard and is right next to O’Neill’s, who plays her husband, Jay, on Modern Family.
