It was on the 20th of September that the Latin Recording Academy officially announced the names of the music artists nominated for various prestigious awards in the upcoming “19th Latin Grammy Awards“. The prestigious event is about to take place on the 15th of November at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be broadcasted live by Univision. And in the Academy’s list is Luis Coronel‘s nomination in the “Best Banda Album” category for his “Ahora Soy Yo“. The said album was released last year as Coronel‘s third throughout his entire career. The recommendation is said to be the artist’s first nomination from the Latin Grammy Awards.
“Receiving this nomination for the Latin GRAMMY is an amazing recognition,” stated Luis Coronel as he received the news. “This is an achievement not only for me, but for my entire team.”
The album “Ahora Soy Yo” is a certified chart topper under Sony Music Latin and was released last October 20, 2017. It has cemented its collection of 12 tracks at the top of both US Latin and Regional Mexican Music charts. The album features the artist’s original singles and a collaboration with Farruko.
The album “Ahora Soy Yo” was successfully released through the works of some of Luis Coronel‘s friends in the industry, namely Luciano Luna, Joss Favela, Joey Montana and Edgar Barrera. Some of the key singles which has drawn significant attention from the Latin Music audience are “Dime Qué Se Siente“, “Tal Como Eres“, and “Para No Acordarme de Ella“. The aforementioned songs effortlessly worked their ways and secured their spots for several weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay Chart.
Fans of the artist have been craving for Luis Coronel‘s appearance in the 19th installment of the illustrious Latin Grammy Awards this coming November 15.
