Telemundo’s new web series, El Maestro Unplugged has a simple premise: Luis Enrique, the Prince of Salsa music, will coach three up-and-coming Latin artists and prepare them for a unique live acoustic performance. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these talented musicians to hone their skills and really shine.
Who are these El Maestro students?
Domino Saints, our favorite Latin urban-pop duo from Puerto Rico and Columbia, who have already won our vote of confidence with hit songs, guaranteed to get stuck in your head all summer, like Tesoro.
Cristal Marie, a Dominican singer-songwriter, best known for the theme song of Telemundo’s Pecados Ajenos telenovela.
Christian Daniel, a Puerto Rican singer who has already opened for Latin-legend Juan Luis Guerra on more than one occasion.
All three artists already have the markings of stars, and with Luis Enrique by their side, they’re sure to go the distance. Tune into El Maestro Unplugged to learn more about each artist and witness their transformation as they each strive to create a new acoustic version of each of their songs.
If nothing else, we’re bound to get some great music out of this.
