About the Director

Director Ivana Ramirez is inspired to cover relevant social issues that others don’t explore. She is interested in issues pertaining to young Latinos and Latinas, which is what drove her to produce “Millennial Madre”, a documentary sharing the inspiring stories of 3 young Latina mothers, and the challenges and struggles they faced. Ramirez is shifting to a more specific social series with “I Crossed the Border”, and she is ready to give Latin individuals an outlet to voice their unique journeys.

About The Project

Brought to you by Executive Producer Jason Torrico (@CEODonTorrico) and Director & Producer Ivania Ramirez, “I Crossed the Border” will be a 2-3 video web-series, that will eventually be produced into a 35-45 minute documentary. The project will capture the inspiring stories of Latinos who crossed the border at a young age, and the experiences and challenges they’ve faced along the way. We understand that every journey is distinct and unique in its own way, so we’re more than excited to hear your story.
