Just one week after the release of its remix with Akon & Mohombi, Joey Montana’s hit single “Picky” went Platinum! Since its release in 2015, “Picky” has been topping charts and bringing international fame to singer Joey Montana. Now, it is a Platinum Record in the U.S., Gold Record in Chile, Multi-Platinum in Columbia, and a Diamond Record in Central America.
While the single dominated charts on iTunes and Spotify, the music video blew up across social media. When Joey Montana inspired the #PickyChallenge, fans from across the globe had yet another reason break out their dancing shoes, and then post their rendition of the “Picky” music video choreography on Instagram. The music video (and a few especially entertaining responses to the #PickyChallenge) went viral almost immediately and has been increasing in popularity ever since.
“Picky” will certainly continue to occupy a top slot on the charts for Latin Pop music, that is, until Joey Montana’s next album comes out! Until then, you can catch him at one of his concerts across Latin America, or just turn on your TV and find him as a coach for La Voz Ecuador!
