The president of the World Wrestling League (WWL), Richard Negrin announced today that, “as of Saturday, July 12, for viewers of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands,” World Wrestling League matches will be broadcast “at 2:30 pm and Sundays from 7:30 to 8:30 pm by CW Puerto Rico.”
CW Puerto Rico is seen through the following channels: DIRECTV Channel 178, Dish Network Channel 17 in Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands American, LIBERTY Channel 96 CHOICE Channel 148 and 34, CLARO TV Channel 22 and Channel 18.3 over the air digital.
WWL is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Founded by Richard Negrin, with the collaboration of Mr. Hugo Savinovich, it has a global reach, with more than a dozen partnerships around the world.
The April 21st, 2013 inaugural event, Idol of Wrestling saw about 4,000 fans at the Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In June of the same year, participation in the XXI Triplemania AAA event in Mexico City, Mexico saw the events garnering even more popularity. Presentation at Saltillo and Monterey, Mexico, had an attendance of over 6,000 fans in September. In March 2014 WWL held successful tours in Veracruz and Mexico City, Mexico.
