Top 10 Cardi B Songs
We couldn’t do a Top 10 list for Bruno and not do one for Cardi too. While her career is only just getting started, she’s already created quite the name for herself. Her music repertoire of collaborations and solo work is impressive –and only steadily growing. So, without further ado, here’s a list of the Top 10 songs by our favorite Dominican rapper, Cardi B.
10. Bartier Cardi
This is a track that needs no introduction. Shortly after dropping this track, the song went platinum, asserting Cardi B’s place in the music industry as a force to be reckoned with. The song has continued to gain acclaim and widespread recognition for Cardi B, becoming a fan favorite for many.
As Cardi states in her hit song, she was “born to flex” and flex she did, all the way to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100. This was the Bronx MC’s 20th song to chart and her 10th song to place within the Top 10. It’s safe to say that “Money” was a cash-cow for Miss Cardi B.
8. Be Careful
“Be Careful” is a song about infidelity, inspired by true events from Cardi B’s romantic past. When she dropped this track, the song peaked at #11 on the US Billboard Hot 100, charting in the top 40 in several other countries. The song was even nominated for Best Rap Performance at the historic 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
7. No Limit
“No Limit” is a G-Eazy song, which features ASAP Rocky and Cardi B. The song hit #4 on the US Billboard Hot 100. While it was G-Eazy and ASAP Rocky’s highest charting song, it was Cardi’s second top 5 single on the chart. Get some money indeed.
6. Get Up 10
“Get Up 10” is fierce. It’s the opening track off her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, and serves as a formal introduction into the world of Cardi B. She lays all the cards on the table, detailing her life story and rise to fame. But most importantly, Cardi refuses to be ashamed of her past, wearing it as a badge of honor instead.
5. Taki Taki
When “Taki Taki” dropped, the world listened. The song features Latino powerhouse artists DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and of course, Cardi B. The song topped the charts in several countries and its accompanying music video became one of the top 10 fastest videos to reach 100 million views on YouTube. Good luck getting this one out of your head.
4. Please Me
Yes, it just came out and yes, it is that good. A musical combination of Cardi B and Bruno Mars is like chocolate and peanut butter, you just can’t go wrong. The result is an extremely catchy song with a hypnotic beat. And the public seems to agree as the song climbs the charts, peaking at #3 so far. Be prepared to hear this one on the radio a lot.
Aside from having one of the most fun music videos ever (and seriously charming), the song is an absolute ear worm. Originally, Bruno Mars’ song was only able to reach 199 on the charts, but with the help of Cardi B, the new, remixed version became a success. Critics loved it, fans couldn’t get it out of their heads, and it was a huge hit at the MTV Video Music Awards.
2. I Like It
You know this song, how could you not? When Cardi released this track off her legendary Invasion of Privacy album, it quickly rose on the charts. The song is outrageously unique, combining Latin trap with a trap-salsa beat. It paid off too, because the song topped the US Billboard Hot 100 charts in the US, making Cardi B the first female rapper to have two #1 songs in the chart’s history.
1. Bodak Yellow
For many, this was their introduction to Cardi B and what an introduction it was. The single toped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for three consecutive weeks and was nominated for several Grammys. At 2017 and 2018’s BET Hip Hop Awards, the song actually won for Single of the Year and Favorite Song Rap/Hip Hop respectively.
