‘Imported’ is the LETNetworks Song of the Week
Colombian Canadian artist Jessie Reyez teamed up with 6lack on a track titled “Imported”, which released this past week. In it’s first 4 days, the song has reached nearly 1 million views on YouTube. The R&B ballad perfectly mixes Jessie Reyez’s mesmerizing voice and 6lack’s somber style into a heartfelt masterpiece. The masterfully produced music video mixes in love and pain as Jessie and 6lack play heartbroken lovers. With the collaboration designed to be somewhat of a surprise, it’s a hit with American and Canadian fans and has garnered even more anticipation for her upcoming 2019 studio album.
Born in Toronto but raised in Ontario, she grew up loving the guitar, and began to write her own songs in high school. Jessie Reyez first caught major attention in 2016 when her hit single “Figures” reached #58 on the Canadian Hot 100, was certified 2x platinum, and recorded over 20 million streams on Spotify. Since then, she has teamed up with legendary American artists like Eminem and Calvin Harris. Reyez has also been nominated for multiple MTV awards, and in 2018 she won the Juno Award for “Breakthrough Artist.”
As Jessie prepares to release her album later this year, we’re excited to see what she has in store. Have you heard “Imported” yet? (The music video is right above!) If you love the song as much as we do, click here to download the song on iTunes.
